MDS Blog Hop - Catching Up Again

Our second half of the month on our Blog Hop is sharing what our MDS designers are currently doing in MDS.  I am back to working on my daughters' albums. I want to make each of them a scrapbook of their childhoods to keep. My favorite moments were looking at the photo albums that my Mom and Dad had put together and them telling me the stories of back then. So great that I can journal those stories of my girls in scrapbooking instead and soooooo much easier making it in digital form. I am making some headway this time. I will be sharing them soon!
I started way back here in my Guest Blogger Post on :
and yes I am still doing then nearly a year later!
I will probably finish on their graduation day! I hope!
I used the Wonderfall Kit mostly which includes all the paper and leaf punches that you see. I am loving the chevron stamp image on here. I also did lots of cropping a stamp image with the title. Love the splatter stamp too! Fun tool!
UPDATE on the page! Looking at the page and thought - YIKES! - needs something more! I added some overlays and changed the Title. NOW I am happy with it! Love that about MDS! I can always go back and change with ease. Better?

MDS Blog Hop - Last Minute Valentine Treats

Welcome back to the MDS Blog Hop! What a SUPER LONG 3 weeks that was!
But we are all here with some great projects full of LOVE just in time for the big day tomorrow!
So Sunday night, my youngest daughter and I were chatting about what she wanted to do for her LAST year in elementary school Valentine treats for the class - "you know that they do not do that anymore in middle school" she told me. :(  We immediately went on Pinterest and she found the perfect little treat with her favorite candy. I knew right away that I could so make that in MDS2!
To create in MDS2 - I added a square punch at 2 3/4" x 4" which made a perfect insert for the clear bags I had on hand to a custom 8.5x11 page for a "template". Next add the jar from the Perfectly Preserved Stamp Brush Set # 129834 and size to fit the punch.
Now add your wording to complete them. I did a Global search for the Valentine saying while the LOVE BUG is just a text box. Copy the whole thing and paste 5 more on the page. Remove the punch and save as a jpeg. You can right click on the photo template above and save as a jpeg if you have the same size bags! Then simply print as you would a photo on your computer/printer. They each measure 2.75" x 4" on this 8.5x11 page.
Last night, we collected what we needed and started to assemble 28 of them. You will need a 1 3/4" circle punch or a wide oval punch would work too. I picked up the sour worms at Publix - 3 for $5.00. Printed the sheets on whisper white cardstock. Cut them with my Stampin Trimmer. She handwrote their names on the front and her name on the back.  Inserted them and 6-7 sour worms i the bag. To close the top, I simply folded over a flap and stapled them.
Call it DONE! Ready to go for tomorrow! Ok, so you have a quick solution to your last minute classmates', co-workers', neighbors', friends' treats! Better get busy!
